Year Two of Turnerfest Packs a Punch
With one big dream of a music fest, Randy Bersch set out to show Mount Olive more than a good time. He understood the importance of more than just a show, but an event to bring people from all over the area to join together and celebrate music, local businesses and each other.
In just its second year, Turnerfest turned out to be a lot bigger than a small town get-together, but a successful gathering of people from all around the Mount Olive area to appreciate good, local music.
From noon to midnight Sept. 15, Turnerfest hosted some great bands from different areas: The Jeremiah Johnson Band, Adam Gaffney and the Highway Saints, the Maness Brothers, among many others. Music filled the air while food trucks filled visitors stomachs. Steak Louie, Skippers Island Oasis and Spud Shack, to name a few, joined in the hot day to serve some delicious food.
And as soon as the fun ended, Bersch started planning Turnerfest 2019. Stay tuned for more info with its Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Mt.OliveIL/.
